Darmstadt beabsichtigt einen Neubau einer Hauptfeuerwache für die Berufsfeuerwehr. Für die neue Wache steht ein Grundstück am nordwestlichen Stadteingang von Darmstadt, am Ende der B42, unmittelbar südwestlich des Teilknotenpunktes Gräfenhäuser Straße/Pfnorstraße zur Verfügung. Das Grundstück hat eine Fläche von ca. 30.317 m² und eine Geländehöhe von ca. 121,7 müNN bis 123,7müNN. In einer vorgezogenen Maßnahme wurde bereits eine eigene 20kV Übergabestation am nördlichen Baufeldrand aufgestellt.
