Hankintaan sisältyy Lahden ja Hollolan pohjavesien yhteistarkkailuun (jatkossa ”yhteistarkkailu”) liittyvät pohjavesi-, huokosilma-, huokosvesi-, jätevesi-, pintavesi- ja hulevesinäytteenotot sekä pohjaveden pinnankorkeusmittaukset, näytteiden analyysipalvelut, tulosten toimijakohtainen väli- ja vuosiraportointi ja vuosikoosteen laadinta. Näytteistä määrällisesti eniten otetaan pohjavesinäytteitä. Lisätyönä voidaan hankkia muuta näytteenottoa, analyysipalveluita sekä näiden raportointia.
