Die AWO Niedersachsen gGmbH plant den Neubau und die Modernisierung/Sanierung ihrer Klinik für Gerontopsychiatrie mit fünf Stationen. Nach der Fertigstellung der Klinik, besteht diese überwiegend aus einem Neubauteil mit den Klinischen Stationen und einem saniertem Altbau-Teil mit überwiegender Büronutzungen. Der sanierte Altbauteil entspricht ca. 40 % von der vorhanden Altbau Substanz/ Klinik B/ Gerontopsychiatrie. Geplant ist das Bauvorhaben in mehreren Bauabschnitten, im laufenden Betrieb der Gerontoklinik.
