Für die Ertüchtigung der Umleiterstrecke Lübeck – Büchen (Strecke 1121), die im Rahmen der Generalsanierung Lübeck - Hamburg umgesetzt werden soll, müssen diverse Verkehre umgeleitet werden. Um die Umleiterverkehre, die während der 5-monatigen Totalsperrung der Strecke 1120 (Lübeck – Hamburg) erwartet werden, auf der Strecke 1121 aufnehmen zu können, muss eine Blockoptimierung auf der Gesamtstrecke durchgeführt werden.
